I developed crazy sweet cravings after giving birth to my daughter! Substituting the cravings with fruit and healthy desserts never worked, instead I do…
I once did a video talking about my husband’s diet, how he eats a traditional Indonesian diet of white rice, vegetables and some sort of animal or vegetable protein three times a day, everyday. Someone wrote me asking what my opinion of white rice is, is it really all that unhealthy as they say it is in the West, or is it ok to eat it as part of a healthy diet? Half the world’s population eats a rice-based diet (similar to what my husband’s eats), and they certainly aren’t eating brown rice or other whole grain rices, so is white rice all that bad? Here’s my opinion!!
I’ve received quite a few emails from people asking me about Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and bloating, and what to take out their diet. I’ve also received quite a few questions about Food Combining and why it isn’t helping people with IBS. Today I go over what else someone can try and do with their diet to heal their digestive system and get rid of the symptoms that come with irritable bowel syndrome and get it under control.
The question about flour and where it fits into a healthy diet comes up a lot! I know how attached people are to foods made with flour like pasta, bread, baked goods, cereals, etc.. I know it’s not easy to give up and many people try to find a ‘healthier’ version of their favourite foods which are perhaps made out of whole grain flour instead of white flour– but is this stuff healthy? Should you be eating it? In today’s video I give my opinion!
