Every once in a while someone will tell me they’ve read such great information about coconut oil and ask if they should start taking it as a supplement, as in a few tablespoons a day? My response is “No, no, no!! (unless you want and need to be gaining weight and nothing else works!!).” Coconut oil is fine to cook and bake with, but I don’t believe in consuming extra quantities of it as a supplement.
