I’m asked quite often about cleanses, and if they can heal health conditions, illnesses, and diseases. I think cleanses are great at kick starting a healthy diet and giving someone a good break from foods that are causing inflammation, imbalances, and disease in the body. But I don’t think a short term cleanse will heal anyone unless they make permanent changes to their diet and lifestyle after the cleanse, and figure out what might be contributing to the problem to begin with.
Here’s my opinion of the extreme diets being promoted today!
Sometimes what we want isn’t always going to give us what we need. If you are in a rut, not getting the results you want, or find yourself always stuggling with the same thing, than maybe it’s time to do things differently. You might be surprised just how easy it is to achieve something by being open to trying something new!
The holidays are going to be rolling in soon. Don’t leave your diet and fitness goals until later, start now!! There’s no better way to celebrate the holidays than feeling fit and fabulous!!
To some people the act of visualization is ‘hokey pokey’ and just too ‘new-age’, but visualization can be an awesome tool! Fitness people do it all the time when they are working out or competing, they visualize their victory and use it to motivate themselves to push harder and go beyond their limits. I do the same things with my food, every time I eat a healthy meal I visualize myself getting one more step closer to my health & wellness goals and tap into just how great the healthy food makes me feel now and into the future. Personally I want to enjoy and be inspired by everything I do, and this is definitely something that helps and works!!
