Need some ideas on how to get your spouse or partner to eat healthier? Here’s some suggestions!
Someone left a comment on my Facebook page today that they’ve fallen off their diet and having a hard time getting back on! As a health coach I’ve worked with many clients with this exact same dilemma and in today’s video I share some tips and motivation on how to get back on to your healthy diet and lifestyle and what works and what doesn’t.
I love Mondays!! Monday is actually my favourite day of the week! It wasn’t always like this, in fact there was a time in my life where I hated Mondays so much I would be depressed all Sundays and sometimes even the entire weekends in anticipation for the Mondays to come (yes, that bad!). Recently I received an email from someone requesting that I talk about what I do to love Mondays, any advice for those that suffer the “Sunday Blues” and dread Mondays. Yes, based on my own personal experience and what I’ve seen work for others, I do have a bunch of tips, suggestions and things to try– check out today’s video!
There are so many diets and weight loss systems and tools out there and I am frequently asked what my opinion is on counting calories. I do believe calorie counting can be a great tool, especially short-term calorie counting. Not only can calorie counting help someone lose weight or break a weight loss plateau, but it can also be a good guide for someone who’s starting maintenance mode after they’ve reached their weight loss goal. In today’s video I go over my opinion, plus also give the calorie ranges men and women should aim for to lose weight and also the calorie ranges they should be consuming to maintain their weight.
To some people the act of visualization is ‘hokey pokey’ and just too ‘new-age’, but visualization can be an awesome tool! Fitness people do it all the time when they are working out or competing, they visualize their victory and use it to motivate themselves to push harder and go beyond their limits. I do the same things with my food, every time I eat a healthy meal I visualize myself getting one more step closer to my health & wellness goals and tap into just how great the healthy food makes me feel now and into the future. Personally I want to enjoy and be inspired by everything I do, and this is definitely something that helps and works!!
