I recently did the video Can White Rice Be Part Of A Healthy Diet, Ep107, and some people posted questions about rice and heartburn. I actually have a few suggestion for those that get heartburn or acid reflux after eating rice or meals that have rice. Sometimes it’s the type of rice that causes the issues, other times it might be what you are eating rice with and/or at what time of day. In today’s video I go through all my suggestions including the one rice I feel is the easiest to digest, and which types of rice to stay away from!
Here’s some dietary and lifestyle tips for those that have GERD, acid reflux, indigestion, heartburn and other stomach/digestive issues.
Last week I did a video giving suggestions for IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Someone posted a question about my opinion of psyllium husk powder. Many doctors and natural health care practitioners recommend psyllium husk powder as a fiber supplement for those that have IBS, chronic constipation or diarrhea, which in my opinion may or may not help! In today’s video I go over this, plus give some suggestions for those that want to try a fiber supplement, whether it be psyllium husk powder or something else like chia seeds or freshly ground flax seed powder, I talk about what is available and how to take it.
I’ve received quite a few emails from people asking me about Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and bloating, and what to take out their diet. I’ve also received quite a few questions about Food Combining and why it isn’t helping people with IBS. Today I go over what else someone can try and do with their diet to heal their digestive system and get rid of the symptoms that come with irritable bowel syndrome and get it under control.
Yesterday I posted a video demonstrating how to make green juices. Someone posted a question asking if it was better to have a smoothie or blended drink with the fiber left in instead of having a pressed juice that has the fiber removed? Great question! And a question I am regularly asked! So in today’s video I address this question, plus explain the benefits and differences between the two, and how these drinks can benefit one’s health.
