I am really excited to share my weight loss success story!!! For those that having been following my video blogs from the very beginning, all the way back to my first video blog at Raw Radiant Health, you probably know that I started the video blogs to document my own weight loss journey and also as a means to keep myself on track.

My whole weight loss journey started back in my early 30s when I gained a bunch of weight after I quit smoking. Over the years losing the weight was extremely challenging for me! I have to admit, it’s been a long journey, with many failed attempts, many experiments, and many trials and tribulations. Luckily three years ago something shifted, I changed my action plan, and I started getting results!! Over a period of a year and a half, I lost 30 pounds and even though I got pregnant shortly after reaching my weight loss goal, after I gave birth to our daughter, I’ve been able to get back down to that same weight and easily keep it off! This has definitely been my own personal victory and in today’s video I share exactly what I did.

I love exercise! And ever since Luna Ray was born I have had to figure out a new way to get my workouts in. For me, exercise is a must, mostly because it really does make a difference on my mood and stress levels, I always feel better when I exercise daily! So since I’m exclusively breast feeding Luna Ray, I can’t go to the gym or join any regular group fitness classes, instead I’ve had to figure out a way to exercise at home and work around her schedule (and I’m enjoying that challenge too!). Since Luna Ray naps for only 2 hours a day, I’ve had to cut my workout routines real short, instead of doing 60-90 minute workouts, I’ve had to cut my workout down to 20-30 minutes, sometimes even less! In the past if someone would even suggest doing 20-30 minutes workouts, I think I would have totally blown it off, perhaps even laugh at the idea in the back of my mind (I’m being real honest here!). So over the past 3 months, I’ve dropped my ‘all or nothing’ attitude, and decided to do an experiment to see what would happen to my postpartum body if I only exercised 20-30 minutes a day, and would it have as great effect on my mood, energy, and overall health?

In today’s video I talk about this experiment, plus what workouts I have been doing, and the effects of doing much shorter workouts!
